Fans became quite disappointed after Novak Djokovic announced that he will not be featuring at the Indian Wells Masters 2021. The Serbian legend has decided to skip the tournament as he’s resting after an extremely eventful 2021 season.
Novak Djokovic last played at the US Open 2021 finals, where he lost to Daniil Medvedev. The Russian denied him his Calendar Slam and became the only player to defeat him at the Grand Slams this year. However, even that disappointing result cannot take away from the incredible season that Nole had. He matched Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer at 20 Grand Slam titles and came within touching distance of the Calendar Slam.

A fan portrays the beautiful moments of Novak Djokovic in 2021 on Twitter
Recently, a fan made some beautiful paintings of Djokovic and posted them on Twitter. In it, she portrayed the Serb’s glory at the three Grand Slams that he won this year. Surprisingly, the 20-time Grand Slam champion retweeted her tweet.

“Wow! Thank you so much for this,” wrote Djokovic on Twitter.
Nole is quite a popular athlete on social media. He has his army of fans, called the Nolefam, and he regularly talks engages with them on Twitter and Instagram. Even at the US Open final, Djokovic received incredible support from the crowd.

Djokovic in the 2021 tennis season
It has been one of the most successful seasons for Djokovic so far. After defending his title at the Australian Open 2021, he shocked Rafael Nadal in the semis of the French Open 2021 and then, went on to win the title.

Following this, Nole arrived in London and once again dazzled there. He lifted his 20th Grand Slam title at the Wimbledon Championships 2021 and therefore, equalized both Nadal and Federer at the Grand Slam tally,
