Last year, Novak Djokovic won 3 out of the 4 major titles, and yet he decided to bid adieu to his 6-year-long coach. Recently, in the latest episode of Advantage Connors, the 8-time Grand Slam champion, shared his opinion.
Connors said, “Yeah, fresh set of eyes. Maybe. You know that? You know, always are important. But yeah, I think you know, sometimes shaking it up. But But isn’t it funny? It’s always the coach’s fault. The time to get rid of the coach.
Providing more insight on the possible reasons behind Djokovic’s decision, Connors added, “Sometimes you just need a break, and you need to shake it up and to, see what else can you know, can come of it, you know, maybe Goran has taken him and given him as much as he can.”

At a news conference held in Belgrade recently, questions about his new coach were posed to the 24-time Grand Slam champion. He answered straightforwardly, admitting that he had no idea about who would take over as coach or even if one would be appointed at all.
Novak Djokovic stated, “Concerning my following stage about a coach for me I don’t have any clear idea who that might be and if anyone will be. I have always had coaches by my side, since I was young. I am trying to feel what is good for me in this moment.”
