While citing the example of his Greek colleague Stefanos Tsitsipas, the former Grand Slam champion claimed that every season can be ‘different.’ Tsitsipas, who made it to the championship match of the Australian Open, was struggling to find his optimum levels at the end of the season. Aside from the Greek player, Medvedev gave an example of himself as he said, “I myself was out of top 10 last year, in the beginning of the season.”

The likes of Medvedev and Tsitsipas might have experienced a turbulent season. But Novak Djokovic, who concluded the season as the number one player with three Grand Slam titles, is the only ‘constant’ in this rather unpredictable tour. The 27-year-old player said, “The only thing we’re sure is Novak is always there. I could be out of 10, Novak is always there. So hopefully I can be part of this top four and whoever the other three guys and I’m going to try to do it.”
