The 36-year-old is bidding to claim a hat-trick of Grand Slam titles as he dominates the tennis world yet again after a controversy-laden 2022 season. Showing why he’s one of the greatest players to have played the sport, Djokovic dispatched Sinner without breaking any sweat to reach the Wimbledon final. By doing so, the Serb reached his 35th Grand Slam singles final and overtook the record he shared with American tennis legend, Chris Evert. The World Number Two is now the player with the most Grand Slam singles final appearances.

In what was a near one-sided match, Djokovic got the better of his 15-years younger opponent. The Serb applied pressure on Sinner’s serve right from the very beginning as he gave the Italian hardly any breathing space. Breaking Sinner in his first service game of the match proved enough for Djokovic to win the first set 6-3.
