ATP Madrid Masters preliminary entry list is out and adding excitement to tennis fans across the world, all top players are present in the initial list to participate in the event. Notable entries include world no. 1 Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, and Rafael Nadal, who is currently trying to recuperate from his rib injury.

The top-16 seeds are released and according to the changes  for the Madrid Open, which will decide the draws. Other 29 players to be included in the main draw are also mentioned. Wild-card entries are yet to be declared by the organizers.

Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, and other stars completing main draw

Djokovic has not played since February 2022 after Dubai Open. Though Novak Djokovic was present in the entry list for the Sunshine Double, strict rules upon Vaccination by CDC denied him the chance to participate. He is already cleared to play the French Open and some Clay court action before that would certainly be helpful for World No. 1.

World no 3 Alexander Zverev will also defend his title this season in Madrid. Matteo Berrettini, Zverev’s opponent in the final last year, withdrew from Miami Open due to a right-hand injury and is hoping to make it to the Monte Carlo Masters.

Spanish ace Rafael Nadal is also nursing his fractured rib. He suffered the injury in the Indian Wells semifinals and played with the injury in the final. The Spanish might directly participate in Madrid, provided his recovery is on track.

2022 Miami open winner Carlos Alcaraz also has a direct entry for the Madrid Open. The high-spirited star has the best season so far, winning 18 out of 20 matches played. He will be eyeing his next Masters 1000 title before getting ready for the Grand Slams.
