Djokovic faced a tough challenge from 21-year-old Italian Jannik Sinner in the semifinals. The Serbian champion displayed his incredible skills and experience, winning convincingly 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (4).

This unexpected interruption disturbed Djokovic’s momentum and he was seen visibly upset causing him to question his decision.

Commentators including tennis doubles icon Todd Woodbridge disagreed with the umpire’s call. Woodbridge expressed his disagreement, saying, “I feel like the umpire had been waiting to make that call. That’s rough.”
