The Big Three rivalry was unintentionally triggered once again as tennis veteran Toni Nadal crowned Novak Djokovic as the “best tennis player in history.” While his legendary achievement at the Paris Olympics was a cause for celebration, fans of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal seem to be offended. As the tennis part has reached a conclusion, the debate extended to different sports as a Federer fan found solace in Serbia’s disappointing defeat.
Team Serbia recently faced a tough loss against Team USA in the basketball semifinals at the Paris Olympics. Serbia led for most of the game, giving high hopes to the countrymen but eventually fell short in the final moments, losing 95-91. Renowned stars Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nikola Jokic made notable contributions with 20 and 17 points respectively but they were outshined by USA’s Steph Curry, who scored 36 points, and LeBron James, who added 16.

While it was a moment of joy for basketball fans, followers of the racket sport also found their way into the debate. A die-hard fan of Roger Federer used Serbia’s defeat to take a dig at Novak Djokovic. This fan, seemingly unhappy with Djokovic’s recent success, shared a picture of the basketball score, writing, “SERBIA MUDDED 💉💉 I GOT MY JOY BACK.” The comment triggered a big debate about the never-ending rivalry between fans of tennis’ Big Three.
“Obsession is unhealthy”: Novak Djokovic fans enter the debate to defend the Serb’s legacy
As soon as the Roger Federer fan expressed their feeling of relief because of Serbia’s defeat against Team USA, Novak Djokovic fans knew how to deal with the situation. The comment section appeared to be totally hijacked by supporters of the tennis great.
A fan, simply dropping a suggestion for the Federer fan, wrote, “The obsession is unhealthy.” The debate between Djokovic and Fed fans has been going on for a long time. Although the Swiss tennis maestro rests and the Serb continues to extend his legacy, this aspect of their rivalry seems to have no end.

Federer fans, how does it feel to see Djokovic have the last laugh yet again?
Have an interesting take?
Out of all the ways that could possibly be used to shut the Federer fan down, sarcasm is what the Djoker fans used. “This post is the biggest scream of mental illness I have ever seen,” another fan wrote, simply insulting “Fednanen”.

A fan found it hard to believe how Djokovic’s haters are now despising his country just because they’re offended by his recent victory. “Imagine hate watching Serbia just because of Djokovic,” a fan wrote, highlighting how the Serb’s addition to the list of Golden Slam winners has attracted more hate towards him.
Novak Djokovic had a fair share of troubles during his Paris Olympics campaign. The Serb experienced immense pain in his knee which was recently treated for a meniscus tear and therefore the victory over Carlos Alcaraz was remarkable. “Novak has done irreparable damage to them and I love it,” a fan wrote, highlighting how Nole answered the doubts about his potential in the best possible manner.
