Andre Agassi’s ex-wife, Brooke Shields, was a popular actress in her days and still remains as famous even today. Before getting married to the tennis legend, she shared a close bond with the famous American Singer, and songwriter, Michael Jackson. Nevertheless, the legendary singer also proposed to the Hollywood actress, back in 1993, on national television. 

Although their relationship was never conventional, they were spotted with each other at various events and supported each other. In her memoir, the American actress wrote about her perspective on the equation, which she shared with the late singer. However, the actress got married to the eight-time Grand Slam champion, Andre Agassi, in 1997, and broke her fans’ hearts who wanted her to marry Jackson.

Jackson met Brooke when they were young, and since then, they had a good friendship between them. And the Hollywood actress in her last memoir, iterated, “Here was a little girl,” talked about how nothing ever happened between them, and they remained close for years. She wrote, “Of course, we loved each other, but nothing happened romantically.” Further, she added, “I would be like, ‘Oh please, knock it off.'” 

She explained their friendship as an arrest development, in the case of the dancer. She wrote, “He was like this kid who would ask you [about dating and romance]. Nobody was telling him and nurturing this stuff, and I think he was terrified. He was terrified and sort of juvenile. I think there was an arrested development.”

She also mentioned what the songwriter felt about their close friendship and addressed it as something different, from being in a normal relationship, and added that he wanted to get romantically involved with the star. She wrote, “But he wanted us to never not be with each other.”

Andre Agassi envied Michael Jackson

In his autobiography, Open, the eight-time Grand Slam champion, Andre Agassi, wrote about the time when he was in a relationship with the Hollywood actress. He wrote about an instance, when he was jealous of the singer and the relationship he shared with his then-girlfriend. However, he also wrote that he didn’t want Brooke to continue her friendship with the popular star.
