Raonic said, “But, you know, Eastern European parents, not always the best at expressing emotions too much. So I’m sure there will be one moment when we talk about it.”

Raonic was overwhelmed after watching his family in the stands

In his post-match on-court interview, the ATP star asserted that he hadn’t played on his home soil in a while. Notably, after a long period of four years, Raonic finally got to play in front of his parents, who have often supported him throughout his junior and pro tennis journey.

Further, the Canadian opened up about how he was grateful after his stellar performance in front of his family and the local crowd. He said, “All these things coming together for a great night for me. I’m incredibly grateful for it. “
