At the mere age of 20, Carlos Alcaraz has already risen to the top echelons in the tennis realm. The Spanish tennis player already has a list of remarkable feats under his name as he previously became the youngest player to reach the number one spot in the ATP rankings. On top of all this, the current world No. 2 player also has a major title in his bag that he clinched after his remarkable triumph over Casper Ruud in Flushing Meadows.
Notably, the reigning US Open champion has won himself a slew of admirers in the sporting community including the American tennis legend, Andy Roddick. The former tennis ace also made a slight comparison between the Big 3 of tennis and Alcaraz, calling the latter the “most complete” player at the age of 19. However, Roddick’s opinions on the Spaniard sparked a social media firestorm.

The former American tennis player was recently featured in an interview with Tennis Channel in which he made a big statement on the young rising star, Carlos Alcaraz. While describing him as the ‘most complete 19-year-old player’ in the men’s circuit, Andy Roddick compared the Spaniard to the likes of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
The 40-year-old tennis legend brought to light the fact that the Swiss Maestro won his first major title at the age of 21. His arch-rival, Nadal clinched his first Grand Slam title at 17, however, Roddick claimed that the ‘King of Clay’ wasn’t all that great on other surfaces until he was in his twenties.
Alcaraz, on the other hand, has really no weakness and volatility according to the American tennis legend. Later, a lot of fans came across those remarks as they lashed out at the former tennis ace for comparing Alcaraz to the Big 3.
One of the users lambasted him by saying, “He’s definitely better than you were at that age, that’s for sure, probably batter now then you were your entire career Take his serve away and he’s still got a game, take your serve away and what were you left with?”

The American tennis icon was quick to respond as he fired back at the fan with a blunt answer. He said, “Yeah I’m not offended by truths. You’re right …. Luckily you get to play all the shots and it’s not a hypothetical fantasy world. And I could throw it :)”
