Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios in brilliant form lately. The 27-year-old had a wonderful grass-court season this year. The Aussie displayed his best performance by far to make it to the final of the Wimbledon Championships 2022, going down against the seasoned campaigner in Novak Djokovic. Kyrgios recently shared a video from their first encounter, reminiscing about his tweener shot against the legendary Serbian.
Interestingly, the Aussie had a 2-0 head-to-head record against Djokovic before the Wimbledon final. The two first met each other in Mexico.

Recalling the first time Kyrgios played Djokovic, the 27-year-old shared a video on his Instagram story. The video clip shows a brilliant rally between Kyrgios and Djokovic, where the Aussie played an outrageous tweener shot. Back in 2017, the Aussie met Djokovic in the quarterfinals of the Acapulco Open in Mexico. Interestingly, the Aussie stunned Djokovic in their first ever meeting.

The two met again in the Indian Wells later that year, where Kyrgios came out victorious again. When the two reached the finals of Wimbledon Championship 2022, Kyrgios had an upper hand in the h2h record.

However, in the high-pressure match, the Serb held his nerve to clinch his 21st Grand Slam title.
Kyrgios crashes out of the Cincinnati Masters

Kyrgios arrived in the Cincinnati Masters after a brilliant run in the Canadian Open. The 27-year-old defeated the top seed Daniil Medvedev in his first-round match. However, in the semifinals, he went down against Hubert Hurkacz in a three-set encounter.
In the Cincinnati Masters, the 27-year-old won his first-round match convincingly in straight sets. However, in the second round, the Aussie was completely outclassed by Taylor Fritz. The 24-year-old was clinical in his performance and defeated Kyrgios in straight sets, 6-3 6-2.
