In a recent Instagram story, Kyrgios shared a video in which he can be seen taking part in a physiotherapy session for his wrist, which he earlier had surgery on. He captioned it, “Progress been real! I’ll be back smacking people around soon.”
Just days ago, Kyrgios hinted at the possibility of retiring from the sport, as he told Sports Illustrated, “The reality is, there is a part of me that knows my time in the sport may be over. And I’m OK with that.” While fans were quite disappointed to imagine that he might not step on the court, he changed the game with the recent update.
Kyrgios has been sidelined due to a persistent knee injury that didn’t allow him to play for the past year. While his last match was played back in June 2023 during the Stuttgart Open, it remains to be seen when will be the next time he competes.
