While Novak Djokovic was looking to pick up where he left off last season, fate had some other plans for him. Playing at the United Cup, the Serbian legend suffered an unexpected injury in the wrist which forced him to withdraw from his mixed doubles match. This incident sparked a reaction from Nick Kyrgios on social media.

In a recent epiphany, Nick came ahead and slammed the ATP for their absurd rule, which he believes is the main reason behind the injury for the Serbian. However, this is not the first time that players have come ahead and complained about this issue.

Nick Kyrgios recently backed Novak Djokovic after he faced a wrist injury during the United Cup. Kyrgios shared his frustration on Twitter about the ATP’s practice of altering tennis balls every week, suggesting it might have led to Djokovic’s injury. Kyrgios isn’t alone in this. Many players have complained that the constant switch of balls in tournaments is causing complications for them. Kyrgios is standing up for Djokovic, believing that the ATP needs to take action on this issue. He feels players suffer because of these rules. Djokovic’s recent injury might be a sign that this problem is affecting players more than realized. This problem seems to be deep-seated and perpetual – as astute of an observation Kyrgios makes.

Thus, Nick Kyrgios came up with a strong message as he suggested that he stands in solidarity with Novak Djokovic in these tough times. Not only this, he also went ahead to slam the ATP whom he feels are responsible for the issue.

However, this is not the first time something of this sort has happened. A couple of months ago, Novak Djokovic himself came ahead and talked about the ongoing issue of ball changes.
