Nick Kyrgios might not be counted in the list of top players of tennis. But the Australian is undoubtedly counted in the list of most loved players on the tour. With his unconventional and entertaining style of play, Kyrgios often witnesses packed-up stadiums during his matches.

However, his aura is not just restricted to his on-court activities. Apart from being a notable tennis player, Kyrgios is also a social-media-savvy athlete. Being a highly active Instagram user, Kyrgios gives regular insights into his personal life through his Instagram posts and stories. Today, only hours ago, Kyrgios took to his Instagram, giving a sneak peek into his meeting with former American basketball star, Corey Williams.

Nick Kyrgios plays basketball with Corey Williams

Following his semi-final loss in Houston, Nick Kyrgios is enjoying his time off-court. The 27-year-old is currently in his home country of Australia and plans to rejoin the tour only after the clay-court season.

Today, the 12th of May, Kyrgios took to his Instagram, uploading a story and giving fans a slight insight into his off-court shenanigans. As seen in the video, Kyrgios was on a yacht while rain poured down. However, he was joined by Corey Williams on the yacht, as the two enjoyed shooting hoops together.

Apart from tennis, Kyrgios is known for his love for basketball. The player is regularly spotted sporting the Los Angeles Lakers jersey, or even in Chicago Bulls, and Boston Celtics gear.

The match ended with Kyrgios and Corey indulging in a light-hearted conversation with the two visibly having a gala time.

Kyrgios on the tour

Nick Kyrgios has been selective in tournaments he has played so far in 2022. He kicked off his year at the Australian Open, suffering a second-round exit. Following the loss, he opted to take a month-long break from the tour before finally returning at the Sunshine Doubles. Putting on a decent performance, he reached the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells and the fourth round of Miami.

He last played in Houston where he suffered a semifinal loss. Moving forward, he revealed that he will be missing the clay-court season this year in order to prepare for a comeback on the grass.
