Remember when ATP star Nick Kyrgios‘ girlfriend, Costeen Hatzi, admitted on television that she had “never really watched a tennis game in” her life? Fast forward three years and her perspective has shifted dramatically, thanks to her close bond with the Aussie player. While she was always a familiar face in Kyrgios’ player box, her latest act at the Melbourne Major showcased her love for Kyrgios in an entirely unexpected way.
Kyrgios is set to make his highly anticipated return to Grand Slam event at the 2025 Australian Open, facing Britain’s Jacob Fearnley at iconic John Cain Arena. After a two-year hiatus, the spotlight is firmly on him —and by his side is his stunning social media influencer girlfriend, Costeen Hatzi, ready to cheer him on. But this time, Hatzi steps into a new role, not just as her talented partner’s supporter but as a television presenter for Stan Sport Australia.
The social media influencer, entrepreneur, and beloved WAG recently shared a proud moment on her IG story, reposting a clip from the Ministry of Talent which showed her confidently posing in front of a video camera on the Melbourne Major grounds. “@costeenhatzi bringing us along to this year’s AO- with @stanaustralia,” the page captioned, highlighting Hatzi’s presence at the event.

Hatzi has always been a constant presence in Kyrgios’ life, and their love story reads like a modern-day fairy tale. It all began in December 2021 when Kyrgios stumbled across her IG post selling a mirror. What started as a casual purchase soon turned into something magical. By the end of the month, the two made up their mind about their relationship, and in 2022, they moved into an apartment together in Sydney making it official. Reflecting on their first year together, Hatzi shared a heartfelt post: “One year with my human 🫶🏽 The best year of my life. I love you✨💛.”
Interestingly, Hatzi wasn’t a tennis fan before meeting Kyrgios. “I never really watched a tennis game in my life, so yeah, this is all new for me,” she candidly admitted on Netflix’s BreakPoint. Yet, despite her lack of prior interest, she has become one of Kyrgios’ most vocal supporters. She’s often defended him publicly. “He’s not as crazy as everyone thinks,” Hatzi once remarked, standing by Kyrgios even as critics questioned his fiery persona.
Hatzi’s influence on Kyrgios hasn’t gone unnoticed. The Aussie’s manager, Daniel Horsfall, praised her impact on the tennis star, noting, “I’ve seen him in previous relationships, and they perhaps were taking him in the other direction. [Costeen] lifts him up and gives him motivation and inspiration, and she’s just a great partner to him.”
Now a traveler alongside Kyrgios, Hatzi has embraced the sport wholeheartedly. She has accompanied her partner to tournaments across the world, capturing their adventures and sharing glimpses of their life. One memorable moment was when Kyrgios and his doubles partner, Thanasi Kokkinakis, lifted the Australian Open trophy in 2022. Proud of her boyfriend’s achievement, Hatzi penned the most adorable message to celebrate his achievement.

When Kyrgios lifted the 2022 Australian Open doubles trophy, Hatzi wrote on Instagram, “I love you so much & I am extremely proud of you. What an achievement, there’s no one else more deserving than you.” She was equally supportive ahead of the Wimbledon 2022 final where Kyrgios faced Novak Djokovic, which the eventually lost.

“The big day. Words cannot explain how proud I am of you. You are supported by so many and you never fail to show how talented, entertaining, and resilient you are. Finals at Wimbledon, that is a huge achievement in itself. Your hard work and dedication is paying off. I am so lucky to be on this journey with you 🤍 Let’s do this !!!!!” wrote Hatzi before the match.
This social media influencer urged Kyrgios to play in the 2023 French Open as well. When asked why the ATP star changed his mind after six years of absence from Roland Garros, Kyrgios said, “My girlfriend wants to know Paris.” Although he claimed he “would have preferred to stay at home,” but Hatzi influenced his decision. “I know I can do great results on clay, I beat Roger [Federer], [Stan] Wawrinka, I played a final in Estoril … My girl wants to get to know the city so I will have to go this year,” revealed Kyrgios.
Reflecting on their relationship, Kyrgios once said, “She is definitely the one, I am in love with her and she is an amazing person and an amazing support for me, She is my best friend literally. We go through ups and downs together but I love her to bits.”

Hatzi is delighted to see Kyrgios returning to the court fit and fine. Talking about his fitness struggles, Hatzi said, “It was a long recovery, but he was really patient and he did really well, he’s been training lots and doing all the right things to get himself to this point, He definitely deserves to be here – it’s a hard thing to go through as an athlete going through injury, especially when he was playing so well in 2022, so he’s been quite patient really and I’m super excited to watch him,” she said.
Costeen Hatzi has been a great support for Nick Kyrgios since they met. Despite not being a tennis fan, she changed her perspective. Her commitment to her relationship is surely commendable!
