Nick Kyrgios is acing the headlines once again! Just a few days ago, the 28-year-old tennis star stirred up a ray of controversy with his take on how different generations of tennis are different. But now his opinion has given rise to a new controversy, getting the Australian tennis star into an ugly war of words with none other than Boris Becker.
As the former 13th-ranked tennis player has been out of the sporting arena for almost a year now, his words have kept him more active than his racket. But now as Kyrgios is into a controversial debacle with the six-time Grand Slam champion, he also didn’t leave an opportunity to make fun of his bankrupt tale.

It all started when an Australian tennis player brought out a comparison between different generations of tennis players. While talking about that, he brought the former German tennis player’s name into the statement, giving rise to the controversy.
He stated, “I’ve watched Boris Becker and I’m not saying they weren’t good in their time, but to say that they would be just as good now, it’s absurd.” After hearing this, Becker questioned the 2022 Wimbledon finalist regarding where the strong opinion was coming from. Becker tweeted, “Nick makes a lot of noise about tennis lately!?! Why does he speak about a sport he apparently hates …fact-check Nick has never won a major championship as a player or coach( yes doubles 1) so where is any credibility coming from ?”

While that was not it, the former 13th-ranked player went ahead and gave a witty answer, bringing out his bankruptcy in the debacle. “Hahahaha this bloke speaking about credibility…… last I checked you were the one hiding assets no?” Kyrgios added.

The Australian tennis player’s first statement brought out an ugly reaction from the 56-year-old tennis star. On the other hand, Kyrgios mentioned the German tennis player’s recent chaos that he has been through for blowing away around $185 million worth of assets. Nevertheless, this is not the first time that both of them have stood strong against each other with their words. A few years ago, during the pandemic, the same situation was seen between the two.
Kyrgios points fingers at Boris Becker
Back in 2020, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist shared his opinion regarding how he was pretty disappointed with the way Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev broke the COVID rules. While he shared his opinion on Twitter, it was Becker who didn’t like it and went against the Aussie regarding his words.
Subsequently, strong-opinionated Kyrgios talked about how the former world number one has unnecessarily gotten into the debacle. He stated, “@TheBorisBecker is a bigger doughnut than I thought. Can hit a volley. Obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed, though.”

After this statement came to light, Becker again went after the 13th-ranked tennis player for his no-Grand Slam status. Moreover, in the same way, they have even gotten into this ugly controversy on Twitter.
