A tennis fan sues Nick Kyrgios over his ‘700 drinks‘ remark during the Wimbledon final. The spectator had to leave Centre Court temporarily during the men’s Wimbledon final following Kyrgios’ complaints of distraction.

The world no. 26 eventually lost to Djokovic in the thrilling final, as the Serb won his 21st Grand Slam championship with a 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6(3) win. The spectator, Anna Palus, who was forced to step out of Centre Court, recently described Kyrgios’ complaints as “a reckless and entirely baseless allegation against me.“
The reason for the removal of the spectator from Centre Court
Nick Kyrgios, who was competing in his first Grand Slam final, complained to the umpire about how a spectator was distracting him between points. He requested the umpire, Renaud Lichtenstein, to remove the spectator who he described as ‘who looks like she’s had about 700 drinks bro’
“Not only did this cause considerable harm on the day, resulting in my temporary removal from the arena, but Mr Kyrgios’ false allegation was broadcast to and read by millions around the world, causing me and my family very substantial damage and distress,” Anna Palus explained in a statement.

She also added that the damages recovered, if any, would go towards charity. The statement also made it abundantly clear that she was prepared to take the matter to the High Court if it was unresolved.
Right from the moment he entered the tour, Kyrgios was known for his explosive behavior. Although mostly he faces hefty fines from the ATP, this time, he may have to face serious repercussions. Considering that the spectator is willing to go the distance in her legal battle.
