A fan talked about how having him on the ESPN broadcast team was one of the best decisions that the Sporting Channel could have made. “Inserting Nick Kyrgios into the ESPN broadcast has been an awesome decision thus far. #AustralianOpen” 

On the other hand, a fan appreciated his role, saying, “Okay, I dont hate Kyrgios I’m the booth. #AO24,”

Not only that, his commentators’ skills of attention after he received a cheeky response from Novak Djokovic during the quarter-final round of the tournament.

During the quarter-final clash between the 24-time Grand Slam champion and Taylor Fritz, there was a moment when the Serb grabbed all the attention with an act that he pulled towards Kyrgios. Djokovic, in the middle of the match, walked towards the broadcaster’s booth, and even after heavily breathing, he slowed down and stuck his tongue out towards the booth, and apparently towards the Australian tennis player.

While it was unexpected, it made the tense environment of the match take a lighthearted turn, as he didn’t miss an opportunity to have fun in the middle of the match. However, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that not only tennis fans but even players are quite happy with his new role.
