The crossover saw them join hands as they shared views on different aspects of the game. As the match was about to start, John McEnroe came up with a cheeky Super Bowl statement to embarrass the former NFL players.

Before the tennis showdown kicked off, McEnroe quipped, “Before we start, let’s just do a little math. How many title games did you play in AFC Championship Games, Super Bowls?” Manning, well-known for his football prowess, confidently answered, “Nine,” while Welker chimed in, “Ten.”

McEnroe’s mischievous grin only widened as he turned the attention towards their own achievements, prompting Patrick McEnroe to humorously respond, “250.” The stark contrast in numbers elicited chuckles from all corners. Manning, caught off guard, playfully suspected, “pretty sure we’re getting hustled here Wes,” to which Welker amusingly questioned, “you think?”

Considered as two best players during their time, they had an even-steven head-to-head record against each other.

While McEnroe managed to win 7 matches, it was Borg who managed to win the same amount of matches. Thus, the rivalry between the two players is one for the ages. Also, this fun little act between the McEnroe brothers and the former NFL stars was pure bliss to watch.
