Rafael Nadal finally announced his comeback to tennis yet again and suggested that he would be playing in the upcoming Netflix Slam, an event that featured him alongside Carlos Alcaraz. However, the Spanish legend, who will be making his debut on the court yet again after withdrawing in Australia suggested that he is not at his level best for the upcoming Indian Wells.

As soon as the news broke out, the fans joined hands as they came ahead and slammed the 22-time grand slam winner over his choice of taking part in the Netflix Slam.

This fan came ahead and suggested that it was just the first time when Rafael Nadal was playing in exhibition matches. “He’s hardly the first player to play an exhibition for money, or contractual obligation. Are you saying Djokovic doesn’t?” said the fan. He then further questioned about Djokovic not playing in any event that is an exhibition.

While both Nadal and Alcaraz are coming back from injuries, this fan suggested that he was worried that these two might not just catch an injury yet again while playing at the Slam. “I’m worried one of them may get injured tonight to be honest. Getting injured for an exhibition near to the Sunshine Double would be so so silly,” said the fan.

While the two were playing in an exhibition match, this fan came ahead and suggested that tennis was the game that made them so much money. “tennis is their source of income. if they can make some easily what’s wrong,” said the fan. He further suggested that it wouldn’t be wrong if they could make easy money from tennis.

This fan wasn’t clearly happy with Rafa’s decision to play the slam and suggested that he shouldn’t have played it. “It is foolhardy to play an exhibition in Vegas , a few days before Indian Wells- timing is ridiculous. Rafa should stick to clay at this stage and prepare for the clay season,” said the fan while suggesting that he must have not played it.

Last, but not least, this fan came ahead with a GIF where a girl could be seen throwing money. This clearly was a suggestion from the fans that the players played it for money.

Thus, the fans were not happy with Rafael Nadal’s decision to play in the exhibition event. While some stated that he must have focused on the upcoming events more, some stated that it was all due to money that he did it.

Nadal, in another interview, opened up about his being his last year and many other things. While not clearly indicating if this would be his last year on the court, all the reports led to the same thing.

In an interview, Rafael Nadal came ahead and suggested that he is not saying goodbye at all because that would mean the end of the road for him. While saying that he is not clear at all about his retirement, he would like to take things as they are and see what happens in the future.

“I’m not saying goodbye because then I’d say I’m not playing anymore. This is an important point, and I don’t want to say it because I’m not 100% clear about it. In the last two years, I haven’t been able to play. Life is showing you the path,” said Nadal in the interview.
