In an exclusive interview with CNN, Federer talked about his family, his post-retirement life and relived some memories close to his heart. He even hailed young players like Carlos Alcaraz as the future champion. The Swiss star was also asked how he feels about the possibility of Djokovic tying his Wimbledon record this year.
The forty-one-year-old said, “So I hope he does it, to be honest, because I think anything more he does adds to Tennis history that goes above and beyond. Just not in Tennis, it goes into global sports, like when he won twenty-three now, in Paris. That’s incredible stuff, great news, and it is good for the game. So, um, I think he is a heavy favorite and wouldn’t be surprised if he wins, uh, Wimbledon again.”

So if somebody equals that or passes that, it’s, this is their thing, their moment..”?
Expressing his views on media pressure during his playing career, Federer said that he, too, was once driven by the media hype to break records. But now that he is not in the game, his perspective has changed completely.
