Aside from this, the 52-year-old, is the second of only five men, who have won a Grand Slam in their career.

However, 1995 was a year that yielded him a lot of success as a player. And during that time, he was often seen wearing Nike Air Challenge LWP shoes and endorsing them. Similarly, the great Michael Jordan, also chose Agassi’s Air Challenge LWP, during his infamous NBA comeback in the same year.

Back in 1993, Michael Jordan announced his retirement from the NBA, but he eventually made a comeback in 1995. His return after two years was literally a game-changer for the league.

But to everyone’s surprise, the 59-year-old Jordan, wore a different pair of shoes at the time. It was the Air Challenge LWP, the tennis shoes endorsed by Andre Agassi. However, the reason for him switching to Air Challenge LWP was to promote Nike’s other shoes.

Agassi was instrumental in the rise of tennis sneakers in the market. In the 1990s, he was the sport’s undisputed king, all thanks to Nike for crowning him. To top it all off, Air Challenge LWPs were his signature shoes.

A tremendous on-court achievement by Andre Agassi
Andre Agassi is inarguably one of the greatest tennis players of all time. In addition to winning eight Grand Slams, the legendary American is the most recent US player to win the French Open and the Australian Open. Additionally, he is the first singles player to win all four majors on three different surfaces.
Agassi was someone who rose to prominence in a relatively short period, thanks to his eccentric display of flamboyant tennis. However, due to his illness, Agassi had to retire from professional tennis in 2006.
