After witnessing some quite incredible tennis in the 2021 season so far, it is time for the Davis Cup Finals 2021. The tournament began yesterday and will extend till December 5, 2021. Even though Rafael Nadal is not playing at the tournament, fans will get to watch both Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev in action.

Interestingly, Novak Djokovic’s Serbia hasn’t won the Davis Cup since 2010. Even though they reached the quarter-finals in 2019, the team failed to battle past Russia there.

Playing along with Novak Djokovic is a dream come true for Miomir Kecmanovic

In a recent interview with welovetennis.fr, young Serbian player Miomir Kecmanovic revealed that playing alongside World No.1 Djokovic is a dream come true for him. He even highlighted that he has worked really hard to enter Team Serbia ahead of the Davis Cup Finals 2021.

“I watched, appreciated, admired, as I admire them today all these players who are my companions and I absolutely wanted to be with them one day, be part of this great team, fight and win together. I have worked a lot since then, I ran thousands of kilometers, but my wish came true as a player alongside Novak Djokovic,” said Kecmanovic in the interview.

The 22-year-old also mentioned that he admires each and every player of his squad and feels that they all form a great team.

“Goal is to win the Davis Cup trophy for Serbia”- Miomir Kecmanovic

In the same interview, Kecmanovic emphasized that now, his aim is to lift the Davis Cup title for his nation. He seemed pretty confident about it and strongly believes that he, along with the other four players can accomplish it.
