Djokovic’s wife turned 38 today and she received one of the sweetest birthday wishes from her husband. The 24-time Grand Slam champion took to his official Instagram handle and shared an adorable picture of the two. In the image, Djokovic and his wife were spotted kissing each other while on a holiday. Additionally, the Serb also wrote a heartfelt birthday message for Jelena.

He said, “Happy birthday to the greatest wife, mother, friend, partner, leader, teacher, inspiration I could wish for. My doubles partner for life, Jelena.”

Married in 2014, Novak and Jelena Djokovic have shared a strong bond and are often seen with each other hand-in-hand. Even when things weren’t going right for Djokovic during the Covid-19 pandemic, she was right behind her husband and gave moral support to him.

Earlier this year, when Djokovic celebrated his 37th birthday, Jelena also took to social media to share a heartfelt wish for him. Love poured out in that message as Jelena said, “Happy birthday amore… Happy birthday to the silly, goofy, tireless daddy with a heart as big as the universe: heart: it’s not that you’re ours but you really are the best. WE LOVE YOU.” Further, Djokovic also paid tribute to his wife after he had a stellar 2023 season.

Novak Djokovic credits his wife’s endless support for him

Last year was one of the most successful seasons of Novak Djokovic’s tennis career. The Serb won three major titles and narrowly missed out on the fourth, as he lost in the finals of the Wimbledon Championships. Nonetheless, he was proud of his achievements and thanked his wife for playing a major role in his success.

Djokovic mentioned, “What an amazing season this has been. Forever grateful to my wife for being the best mother I could ask for to kids, while I was making history of the sport. Her support and love that I have been feeling from my family made this historic season possible.”
