The Rolex Shanghai Masters is going on in full swing and what a tournament this has been for the Americans. Two days after Brandon Nakashima’s victory over the world number 5, Holger Rune, another American comes to the show. Sebastian Korda recently beat the world number 3, Daniil Medvedev. In Daniil’s book of agony, Korda is now on the same page as Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz. Let’s find out how.

Earlier this year, Novak Djokovic clinched his 24th Grand Slam title by defeating Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 7-6(5), 6-3 at the men’s singles final in the US Open 2023. Earlier this year, the 20-year-old Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz forced the current world number 3 to bite the dust after sweeping past the Russian with 6-3,6-2 margin in the Indian Wells ATP Masters 1000. Sebastian Korda got sidelined earlier this season for over three months because of an injury. To make a comeback of this stature after that is quite remarkable. He hails from a tennis family, where his father and mother both have been professional tennis players. Now, he looks forward to achieving heights and making a name of his own in the sport.

Now, Korda will face Francisco Cerundolo in the fourth-round match on October 10. It’ll be exciting to see how far can he go this season. Give your thoughts on this in the comments box.
