There have been multiple times when both Roger Federer’s and Novak Djokovic’s records have been put up for comparison. And the same thing happened today as Novak Djokovic managed to break one of Federer’s all-time records.

Roger Federer, over the course of his two-decade-long career, won 6 ATP Finals titles. Novak Djokovic shared the record with his rival after his triumph in the 2022 ATP Finals. Now, with today’s win against Sinner in the finale has increased his tally to 7 ATP Finals titles. Thus, he has finally broken the record of the legendary tennis Roger Federer. But guess what? This is not the only record that he has managed to break.

 

Novak Djokovic has also come close to joining Roger Federer in another iconic record as well. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that both Djokovic and Federer were in their mid 30s when they achieved this incredible record.

Djokovic and Federer share another record

Roger Federer was the only person in the history of the sport to have won win 7 titles during the same season. This is an incredible feat that few came close to breaking in over 6 years. And now Djokovic has also managed to share the same record after his triumph in Turin.

The best thing about this record is that both Federer and Djokovic achieved this record at 36 years old. It happened for Federer in 2017 when he turned 36 and for Djokovic this year as he turned 36. Isn’t this something?
