However, what happened next was quite disappointing for Rublev. He was not only disqualified but his prize money and ranking points were taken away. But he appealed his DQ and there has been some progress in the matter now. Let’s find out all about that.

In a recent news update, it has been informed that Andrey Rublev was finally able to get some good news when it comes to his disqualification in Dubai at the ATP Tour. He had earlier lost his prize money and ranking points but now both have been reinstated.

He was supposed to win $157,755 as the prize money for reaching the semifinals. However, now he would have to pay the fine of $36,400 from the same amount because he yelled at an official during the match and got disqualified.

His 200 ranking points have also been given back to him so that his overall ranking is not affected during the tour. Tennis authorities have said that taking away all the money from the Rublev would have been disproportionate so they have decided to accept his appeal partially.

This not only is outrageous to be doing on the court but also ricocheted off the players’ chairs and almost hit one of the court assistants on the head. Even after doing this, he did not apologize for his action but continued to throw his water bottle in ager and then went to sit on his chair.
