Italian tennis star Matteo Berrettini is getting pumped up to participate in the upcoming Australian Open. After the US Open of 2023, Berrettini injured his right ankle. This kept him off the court for the rest of the 2023 season. Matteo Berrettini was preparing to start his professional tennis with Brisbane International this season. However, another injury caused his dreams to shatter. Now after a long pause, Berrettini is finally gearing up to attend the Australian Open 2024.

The world’s former number six has yet to win any Grand Slam trophies. As Berrettini is ready for the upcoming Happy Slam,  he will be hoping to dominate from the very start.

A reliable tennis source took to their official X (formerly Twitter) account to share the news of Matteo Berrettini’s presence at the upcoming Grand Slam event in Australia. He retweeted the news from another Italian X source and wrote a caption while sharing it. The caption read- “Matteo Berrettini will fly to Australia tomorrow.” 

Since Berrettini has been off the court for almost a year, it will be really refreshing and exciting for fans to see him once again. Given that Berrettini couldn’t attend the anticipated Brisbane International due to his foot injury, fans were tensed about his Australian Open status.

The year 2023 was not very kind to Berrettini. Along with physical injuries, his off-court moments mentally impacted him. However, this Italian tennis star is all set to bring big changes in his career. He has achieved a lot, but he is planning to win a lot more.

Matteo Berrettini is a true tennis star for his outstanding game skills at the age of twenty-seven. Despite any Grand Slam victory, he already stunned the tennis fraternity with three victories at the ATP Challenger Tour and two titles in singles at the ITF World Tennis Tour.

Berrttini was the semi-finalist of the 2022 Australian Open and a quarter-finalist at the 2021 French Open. He was also a finalist at the 2021 Wimbledon tournament. Matteo Berrettini’s performance speaks for his incredible tennis talent.
