Martina Navratilova Picks Her Side in the Ongoing War of Words Between Boris Becker and Nick Kyrgios

The beef between renowned tennis coach Boris Becker and the Australian controversy magnet Nick Kyrgios doesn’t seem to be meeting an end yet. Starting with just a disagreement that Becker presented over Kyrgios’ statement of drawing a comparison between younger and older generations of tennis, newer episodes to the conversation keep adding up.

Martina Navratilova affirms Becker’s latest reply on the controversy with Nick Kyrgios

The controversy between Boris Becker and Nick Kyrgios has been on top of the headlines for a while now. The Aussie, who frequently finds his name linked with the many beefs of the tennis world, didn’t seem to stop shooting his insulting words on Becker as he confronted his verdict on generational differences in tennis. As both parties started poking each other on their built credibility, Boris came up with a factual response, which was further backed by WTA legend Martina Navratilova.

“Nick makes a lot of noise about tennis lately!?! Why does he speak about a sport he apparently hates …fact-check Nick has never won a major championship as a player or coach( yes doubles 1) so where is any credibility coming from?” he said, slamming the Aussie for his nil count of major titles. Coming to the point of comparison, Holger Rune’s coach included names of tennis legends as he mentioned, “Trying to compare generations… Laver v Federer , Borg v Nadal , Sampras v Djokovic!?! I am not even gonna mention McEnroe,Conners ,Lendl Agassi , Courier, Edberg, Wilander ,Kuerten, Bruguera , Rafter , Hewitt and many more …speak to your Only Fans about many things but tennis.”

As Navratilova, being a legend of the sport herself, backed Becker’s response to Kyrgios, the tennis world witnessed a sense of unity among players who made consistent efforts to maintain the integrity of the names who helped evolve the game.

Russian tennis star slams Kyrgios over his harsh words on Becker

While Boris Becker stuck to presenting facts about his statements on the beef with Nick Kyrgios, the Aussie kept on scratching his personal history. Witnessing these events, Russian tennis star Yevgeny Kafelnikov decided to come forward to defend the renowned coach. In a tweet that acted as a hard slam against Kyrgios, Kafelnikov wrote, “Dude hasn’t won Slam in singles and comparing his impact to game of tennis to one of the BEST legend in our sport Boris Becker?? What kind of weed is he smoking??”

However, soon after the Russian tennis star came in support of Becker’s side, Kyrgios, being himself, wrote harsh words in response to him as well. As the heated debate between the two generations of tennis stars continues with new players walking in, fans wait for what lies ahead.
