Nick Kyrgios is in brilliant form this grass-court season. After pulling out of the French Open earlier this year, the Aussie star has already equaled his best performance at the Wimbledon Championships. Frequently surrounded by controversies, the 27-year-old was at it again in his third-round match against Stefanos Tsitsipas.

However, it all looked well in the fourth-round match for Kyrgios, where he played some fine tennis to beat Brandon Nakashima. The 27-year-old has made it to the quarterfinal of a Grand Slam after seven years. He surely is one of the top contenders for the title this year.
The Australian tennis star recently appeared in a podcast where he answered various questions regarding his career and life. One of the most important fan queries he answered was about the toughest opponent he has faced.

While answering the question, Kyrgios surprised everyone as he said the most challenging opponent for him is Kei Nishikori, as the underrated Japanese star has defeated him on all four of their match-ups.
Further, speaking about the ‘Big Three’, he chose Roger Federer as his toughest opponent.
“Out of the big three, I think roger is the hardest to play out of those three guys,” he said.
Also, describing how it is to face Federer on the court, Kyrgios said,
“When you play against the other two, you feel like you are in the match but Roger can make you feel really s**t. He can make you feel like you just don’t deserve.”
The Swiss maestro has defeated Kyrgios six times, while Kyrgios came out victorious once in their seven meetings so far.

In his third Grand Slam quarterfinal and first, since 2015, Kyrgios will be up against Cristian Garin of Chile. The Chilean earned an excellent comeback win against Alex De Minaur to earn his maiden Wimbledon quarterfinal spot.
It will be interesting to see how the 26-year-old fares against someone as good as Kyrgios. The Aussie is in brilliant form this season and will target his first Grand Slam title.
