The 26-year-old American had a stellar start to his season this year. He won his first tour-level title since 2021 at the Dallas Open in February and then it was followed by a seven-match winning streak to reach the finals of the Delray Beach Open. But an ankle sprain in Miami took him out of action for quite some time. However, Tommy is back in action and currently, he’s ready to roar in Madrid!

Paul won the French Open boys’ singles title in 2015, so he surely knows how to bring the best out of him on the dirt. Tommy Paul’s strong attacking forehand and solid footwork along the baseline may give him an edge over Cerundolo in this contest. While Francisco Cerundolo would have to keep the American far away from the nets and dictate the game on his own terms. But that looks quite unlikely at the moment, looking at the current form of Tommy Paul. So, the number 16 over the number 22 at the Spanish capital!
