Christopher Eubanks, the tennis professional renowned for his on-court prowess, recently found himself embroiled in an all-too-familiar luggage predicament. In a series of tweets, he shared his latest travel misadventure, which evoked memories of a previous “luggage debacle” while traveling from India to Auckland, New Zealand.

“Some of you guys might remember my little luggage debacle at the beginning of the year… Well, I have another good one for you, so check this out,” Eubanks tweeted, setting the stage for his recount. Detailing his journey, Eubanks explained, “We traveled yesterday from Stockholm to Munich, expecting to take a flight from Munich to Basel.”

However, upon arrival in Munich, they received startling news. “We land in Munich only to find out that our flight into Basel has been canceled, along with almost every other flight into Basel because of a bomb threat at the airport.”

Eubanks gave a brief account of his most recent airport experience in Munich. Describing the surprising decisions he had to make. The airline presented him with two choices after landing. Either spend the night in Munich and take a flight to Basel the next day, or travel through Frankfurt and take a train to Basel. He made the last decision in the hopes that it would go smoothly since he wanted an extra day in Basel to plan things. The part of the flight to Frankfurt? It went smoothly. The train, though? The main twist occurs at that point.

Eubanks suffered delay after delay when he got to the train station. As he arrived at his destination and started collecting his belongings, he had a terrible insight. He had lost one of his baggage. The instinct? It wasn’t simply lost; it was stolen on one of his trips. He has now prepared to go for two weeks in Europe without some of his belongings.

Eubanks is becoming too familiar with travel mishaps

Earlier this year, in January, Eubanks shared a previous incident of luggage loss during a flight, describing it as the most uncomfortable flight of his life. The airline delayed his flight to Auckland, and he was missing two bags containing his tennis gear and trainer’s accessories. The luggage return deadline is two weeks.
