Novak Djokovic will end the year as No. 1 after winning three Grand Slams and two Masters titles. However, he will miss out on one big prize pool. Daniil Medvedev, Carlos Alcaraz, or Jannik Sinner, the player who scored the most points in the ATP 1000 and ATP Finals, will be awarded the prize pool.

Another prize pool that the three are fighting for is for the player who amasses the most points in ATP 500 tournaments. The race for the prize money in the ATP 500 pool has ended, and the winner has been declared.

The ATP’s second, third, and fourth ranks are in the semifinals of the year-end tournament, but they are also in another competition. When it comes to the 1000 series, Alcaraz has 3,685 points. If he reaches the final, he will have 4,085 points, and winning the final will give him 4,585 points. Sinner has 3,595 points; reaching the final will provide him with 3,959 points, and winning the final will award him 4,495 points. Similarly, Medvedev has 3,200 points; reaching the final will total his tally to 3,600 points, and he will have to win the final to earn 4,100 points.

The total prize pool for the ATP 1000 series is $12.2 million, and the winner will receive approximately $3.5 million. This boost shows the ATP could increase players’ compensation by $50 million this year. A similar prize pool followed for the ATP 500 series.

The winner of the ATP 500 pool

Carlos Alcaraz had the chance to take home the $600,000 bonus awarded to the player with the highest points in ATP 500 tournaments. However, his massive fee of $800,000 caused him to miss out on the Vienna Open, which led to losing his top spot in the 500 series rankings. As a result, Daniil Medvedev took the top spot from the Spaniard.
