Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur’s blossoming romance put to the test at United Cup

Speaking to reporters in London, Katie Boulter acknowledged the strange situation. In the interview, Alex De Minaur was asked, “Earlier, drawn against Great Britain in the group stages, and Great Britain are having Katie Boulter, your girlfriend, playing. You’re going to end up playing mixed doubles against her. Have you talked about that?” De Minaur’s response shows that he has intense intentions and he might actually be excited about this clash.

Alex De Minaur stated, “Yeah, we definitely have. At the moment, we’re currently not on talking terms. We’re enemies. We don’t want to give each other an inch or any advice. But no, it should be fun. It’s going to be an incredible experience, one that I did not think was ever going to happen. The only thing is I’m going to feel pretty bad for Katie and GB when they lose to us.” De Minaur’s confidence is commendable. However, he also talks about his and Boulter’s game approach.

Alex De Minaur echoed similar sentiments from Australia, saying their competitive spirit would take over. “Katie and I have a lot of respect for each other’s games. This match will be no different, we both want to win and will give 100% for our countries. Off the court we are still together but on it, we will be enemies trying to get the upper hand,” he stated.
