In 2017, the Tennis world cheered in excitement when Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer teamed up for a doubles match in the Laver Cup. Not only did they team up, but they also gave more reason for the world to celebrate as they went on to win the match.?
Today, fans got to relive that feeling when Roger Federer uploaded two Instagram stories hinting at a recreation of that pairing. The first story was of Rafa and Federer’s involvement at the 2022 Laver Cup being held at the O2 Arena in London.?Even though the fans rejoiced at the announcement, it was the 2nd story that caught everyone?s attention.?

Federer and Nadal at the Laver Cup 2022
Both the players play for Team Europe, captained by the legendary Bjorn Borg. The duo teamed up in the inaugural edition of the Laver Cup in 2017 and went on to beat the pair of Sam Querrey and Jack Sock.?
Making a comeback in the 2022 Laver Cup?s Europe team, the Swiss and the Spaniard seem excited about pairing up once again.?
Federer said, ?Rafa is an incredible person and an inspiration to me and countless others around the world. He messaged me on social media after the Laver Cup in Boston last year suggesting we play doubles in London and I am definitely up for a Laver Cup ?Fedal? comeback!?

Federer, today uploaded an Instagram story of him and Nadal. The caption of the story read, ?Let?s run it back!.? He tagged Nadal in the story.?
It is not just Federer who seems positive of a doubles pair-up with Rafa. Nadal also seems equally excited for the the pairing up. He said, ?I suggested to Roger we should play doubles together in London and he seems keen, so now we just need to persuade our captain Bjorn!?
Surely, Bjorn wouldn’t stand in the way of Fedal getting back together.

Rafael Nadal recently created history by winning his 21st Grand Slam at the Australian Open 2022. He also won the ATP Melbourne Summer Set. The Spaniard looks in good form as he eyes his 22nd Grand Slam at the Roland Garros.?

Roger Federer, on the other hand, has been out of the tour since his Wimbledon 2021, where he lost in the Quarter Finals. The Swiss maestro underwent knee surgery post-Wimbledon, forcing him to withdraw from the remaining 2021 season.??
