During the 2 round of his match against Alexei Popyrin, Novak Djokovic was heckled by a fan from the stands. There were a lot of things being said to him from the crowd but one fan continually tried to mock him over and over again. That is when Djokovic lost his patience and talked back at the fan to come onto the court and say whatever it was that he wanted to say on his face.

He challenged the fan during his second-round victory but the fan didn’t make an appearance. Owing to the same, Nick Kyrgios who was a commentator at the offered that he would jump in the crowd for Djokovic to fight off the troublemaker.

Novak Djokovic shared in his post-match conference how he was being called out from the crowd again and again which was distracting him a lot. And that is why he decided to confront him and asked him to come to the court since he was fairly annoyed. While Nick Kyrgios was interviewing him, he offered that he would fight the annoying fan on his behalf.

Kyrgios said, “Bro, I’m ready. Let’s do WWE in the crowd, I’ll jump in for you, I’ll go first. I’ll get that guy out of here. When he was heckling you Novak, I said to the commentary box and everyone worldwide, I was like look, if you want me to jump into the crowd and sort him out, I’ll do it for you bro. I’ve got your back, 100 percent.”

Even though Kyrgios was not playing this year, he made sure to side with Djokovic against the heckler and of course, entertain the fans with his antics. Further in the interview, Djokovic also shared how the taunts made him feel and distracted him from winning almost.

Novak Djokovic was continuously being booed at and called out names during his match at the Australian Open today because he was playing an Aussie today in Melbourne. H shared that the crowd’s mean behavior made him feel very distracted and confused.

Djokovic shared, “I was feeling really a lot of mixed emotions today on the court. Not a great atmosphere for me to play in, to be honest. People basically made a noise between the first and second serve the entire match. Of course, it annoys you but at the same time you have to accept it and go with it.

Since people wanted the local player to win, they wanted to demotivate Djokovic right out of the court. Well, that didn’t happen!
