Until and unless the athlete himself wants to open up, paparazzi infiltration is highly inappropriate. In the case of Nadal, footage of his pregnant wife pushed to the emergency was leaked and tossed around. This, in turn, angered the Spaniard who is currently away from home competing in America.

The Nadal family crisis

Rafael Nadal is reportedly furious about the leak and heavy distribution of medical information and the clip of his wife’s emergency admission to a hospital in Mallorca. The Nadal family is now keen on catching the person responsible. As they stated, “looking for the guilty parties.”

Further, the family is also thinking of transferring Mery Perelló to other medical facility in order to safeguard her from such insensitive incidents. Speaking about her state, Perelló currently is out of danger. Though she will stay hospitalized for some time.

The couple broke the news of pregnancy after Nadal’s 14th victory in the French Open. Since then Nadal hasn’t been around so much. At first, he traveled to London to test his luck in the grass courts of Wimbledon. And now he is in America for the last Grand Slam of the season – the US Open.

Nadal, after incurring a gruesome abdominal injury in the Wimbledon championships, made a comeback in the American swing. The former world no.1, who was just two majors away to a Calender Grand Slam, is currently eyeing his fifth US Open title.

With his last trophy coming in the year 2019, it wouldn’t have been a tough feat for Nadal. Though keeping in mind the injuries from this season and return of defending champion, Daniil Medvedev, who happens to hold the ranking of World No.1 as well, fans are a little skeptical about his victory.
