The controversial tennis ad depicted Tiafoe as the next superstar, and it is Nadal who best knows about it. The tennis community took note of the advertisement and saw that as a huge ‘disrespect’ towards the 22-time singles Grand Slam champion. Additionally, many fans responded in social media by criticizing Tiafoe for his advertisement.
However, it also mentioned the name of the Spanish tennis legend while pointing toward their US Open match, where Tiafoe claimed the victory. The advertisement was shared on social media with the caption, “I’M HIM.” “The next tennis superstar is already here. Just ask Rafael Nadal😉”
It further praised the American, “@FTiafoe is ALWAYS on his grind & the results speak for themselves 🎾”
Tennis fans, particularly Rafa fans, were unhappy about the Ad. Consequently, Tiafoe faced a lot of criticism and backlash for featuring in that advertisement video. Notably, one of the fans said, “If this ad is about Tiafoe, Stick to him. Don’t use Rafa’s name. Not Nice”

Another fan slammed the advertisement by saying that it was Alcaraz who won the title and not Tiafoe. The fan said, “If the post is referring to the USO I have to ask when players promotion will stop relying in some random win over legends but with no final results, the title was in the end taken by Alcaraz, so USO it was mainly about Alcaraz victory. “

Look, I like Tiafoe a lot, but this ain't it. Making advertisement using Rafa's name because you beat him once when he was injured? That's the opposite of humble. Who thought this was a good idea? https://t.co/qg4xNH6V31
