As a result, the prize money on offer even after winning a single match is very high as compared to other ATP tournaments.

While the call-up to play in the year-ending championship may have come out of the blue, Hurkacz will be looking to make it big of this opportunity presented to him. Despite a bright start, the World Number 1 lost out to Jannik Sinner in his second match. As a result, the Italian star has almost qualified for the semifinals in Turin.

Djokovic needs to defeat Hurkacz and hope that Rune loses against Sinner to safely qualify for the last 4. However, if the Serb loses, he will have to pray for Sinner’s victory against Rune. Other scenarios are also possible but Djokovic’s victory in straight sets will guarantee him a semifinal berth.
