The story of Morgan Riddle and Taylor Fritz began in 2020, a blend of influencer and athlete. Though new to the sport’s complexities, Riddle’s perspective quickly matured. She once said, “I didn’t really have a mission at first, but it kind of morphed into this thing of introducing tennis to a younger audience.” Initially, she presented a glamorous view of the tennis tour, a vision that captivated audiences and ignited a viral moment at the 2022 Australian Open. Her lens bridged a gap, transforming tennis from a mere game into a lifestyle experience. Remember her raw and emotional vlog of Fritz’s 2024 US Open final? It wasn’t just his journey but a testament to her unwavering support. Now, over four years, Riddle has not just adapted; she has redefined her role in the sport.

On Friday, Riddle spoke with Miami Living Magazine about her life as a tennis WAG. Her influencer career has skyrocketed, blending fashion-forward styling videos, travel vlogs, and accessible tournament insights. From OOTDs at tournaments like the 2025 Australian Open to tips for fans on social media, she’s become a fan favorite.

Reflecting on how her perspective evolved since meeting Fritz, she said, “Honestly, it’s changed a lot. When I first started going to Taylor’s matches, I didn’t fully understand the sport—I was kind of just there to support him. But over time, I’ve developed such a deeper appreciation for how intense and nuanced tennis is. It’s not just physical; it’s insanely mental.”

Her first big celebration with Taylor Fritz came in March 2022 when Fritz won the Indian Wells Masters—the first American to do so since Andre Agassi in 2001. Riddle shared a photo dump from the tournament with the caption, “u & me♥️.” This gave her insight into the highs and lows of tennis beyond press conferences. “Being around it constantly—traveling on tour, seeing the ups and downs, the pressure—it’s given me a whole new respect for the players,” she added.

Tennis has impacted not only her love with Fritz life but also her work life. With over 590K TikTok followers and 400K on Instagram, Riddle has appeared on Netflix and partnered with brands like Heineken’s ‘L0VE.L0VE’ campaign. She has made tennis both captivating and relatable by merging fashion and sport. She even created the iconic Wimbledon Threads, a video series on the event’s fashion, in 2023!

Her platforms go beyond showcasing outfits. They provide valuable content for fans—mental health tips, heat-beating strategies for tournaments like the Australian Open, or hyping up women’s tennis milestones. For instance, in January, she shared stats about the 2025 Australian Open WTA Singles Final viewership increase: Australia saw a 55% rise, followed by the UK at 54% and the US at 48%.

Riddle sees opportunity in bringing new audiences into tennis. “It’s also made me realize how much opportunity there is to bring new people into the sport. Especially women and younger audiences who maybe didn’t feel like it was for them,” she said.

It’s undeniable that Morgan and Taylor’s relationship has become relationship goals for fans. Her love for tennis shines through her content—a win-win for both her career and personal life. But being in the spotlight comes with critics. How does Morgan handle that?

Morgan on how to deal with the criticism of being an influence and WAG

Despite her positive influence on tennis, fans often target her for “calling attention” to herself rather than quietly supporting Fritz. In a clip from The Squeeze podcast dated March 11, Riddle addressed this backlash with bold honesty. “I definitely got a lot of backlash, both from within the tennis community and the fans.”

“I’m calling attention to myself,’ people just expected me to, like, sit in the box, be relatively private. Like, not capitalize on my partner’s career,” she revealed. Her response was unapologetic: “Came in guns blazing. I was like, ‘F— that!’ People make up insane things. It’s just the same misogynist, regurgitated b——- again and again,” she said.

Riddle doesn’t let criticism hold her back. She even turns negativity into motivation. “Sometimes I’m able to really use it as a motivation too, where I’m like, ‘The spite in me is going to push me to do this even more,’ because you’re so mad about it,” she said. Her confidence shines through her work, from collaborations with Wimbledon organizers to her mission of making tennis cool again through TikTok.

Additionally, after his heartbreaking loss against Jannik Sinner at the 2024 US Open final, she posted a supportive message for Taylor Fritz: “What an amazing week @taylor_Fritz. I could not be more proud of you and grateful to support you. Your dedication and drive inspire me so much every day. Forever your biggest fan.” Fritz himself has praised her unwavering support and understanding of his demanding lifestyle as an athlete.

Fritz’s and Morgan’s relationship remains strong despite public scrutiny. Fritz appreciates how Riddle keeps him focused while embracing her own ambitions as an influencer. “I think it’s great to just kind of have someone who is with you, supporting you,” he said. Together, they’ve built a healthy partnership that thrives both on and off the court—proof that love and individuality can coexist beautifully.
