Former world number 18 has become a hot topic of discussion in the tennis world’s actions that took place during his walkover loss to Pedro Martínez in the Málaga Challenger. Paire unraveled in the second game of the first set when his opponent, Martínez, broke his serve for the first time.

But then during the second set, there were a lot of incidents when the French tennis player grabbed attention when he stared down at the umpire and dropped his racquet in frustration.

After this, the 57-year-old former tennis coach took to his Twitter account to share his reaction. He shared a clip from the match and wrote, “This really is something.”

Along with that, even tennis fans share their battled reactions to the former world-ranked 18th player’s behavior. A fan highlighted how this might be a sign of going down and wrote, “Incredible level of tanking here.”

On the other hand, a fan clearly expressed his opinion about having Paire on the tour. He stated,“Benoit is a fucking idiot. Have never liked the guy. Why should he get entry into a tournament that can’t be arsed to try when there’s plenty of other players who work very had just to miss out on a spot taken up by him.”

While that was not enough, a fan also shared the reason behind his presence on the tours. “He’s been doing this for years now. Paire has just been going on tour for the vacations.”

Moreover, another fan made fun of him. He wrote, “Why is he always at the scene of the crime?”

Subsequently, sometimes also raised questions about the umpire and wrote, “What’s the umpire doing?”

While another fan was quite unhappy with this behavior. He wrote, “Imagine losing money on this. This guy na utter disgrace.”

True Paire supporters also stood up for him and characterized the situation as “Match fixing.”

In addition, a fan mocked him by calling him a “GOAT! What a tool.”

And the other one highlighted how the racquet-breaking legacy continues. He wrote, “The legend continues.”

Nevertheless, throughout his tennis career, there have been moments when Paire has broken racquets out of preparation on the tennis court. Last year, the 34-year-old tennis star also visited a racquet manufacturing factory to stop breaking racquets on the courts.

When a racquet manufacturer found a great idea to stop Benoit Paire from smashing racquets

Last year, the director of competition, Jean-Christophe Verborg, at Babolat, opened up about a punishment that he gave to the former world number 18. In an interview with Eurosport, he talked about how he made the 34-year-old work in a racquet-making factory. He said, “We made him place an order, prepare boxes, put his racquets in. And today, we favor this method, even if there will always be a yellow line not to be exceeded.”

For the past few years, the incidence of racquet smashing has increased, and the Frenchman received unique punishment from the equipment supplier. Since then, the incidences have lowered for the better, but now he is doing the same on the tennis court, upsetting his fans and everyone who trusted him.
