In a recent interview, tennis legend John McEnroe took a hilarious dig at his former rival Bjorn Borg while addressing the noise-related issues that people suffer from in Pickleball. While addressing the concerns, he talked about Borg and suggested that he should be called for this issue as he is someone who has been quite silent on the tennis courts.

He then went ahead to mention that despite being a person who is quiet, Borg showcased himself as someone who is very loud on the tennis courts. “Yeah, they probably should have gotten Bjorn Borg as he was very quite on the Tennis court but shows himself as someone rather loud on the court,” said McEnroe while taking a jab at his rival.
Thus, despite being rivals on the court, the two share a great bond which was quite evident by the jab that the American champ took on him.

American resident threatened to go on a hunger strike if their demands regarding pickleball were not met
Back in July, a couple from Chilliwack, B.C., claimed to go on a hunger strike. It came after their reported complaints over the noise of the pickleball were not met. The couple said that they took the home to this specific place because it was close to the park and that they did not have any problem with the kids playing there.

It all started after the city chose to install pickleball courts in the park, back in 2019, and that too without consultation. They made multiple complaints about the issue but none were taken seriously. Because of this, they threatened to go on hunger strike if that remains to be the case. Thus, over the years, the noise has been a constant issue for the players, spectators, and even the localities.
