Serbian World No.1 Novak Djokovic has had an unbeatable Grand Slam career in the 2021 season. However, to complete the Calendar Slam, he also needed to clear the Jenson Brooksby test in the US Open 2021 fourth round. More than that, he had to do it in front of the maddening New York crowd cheering for the American in the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

So far, the fans have made all the difference in elevating local players and causing big upsets. Naturally, this time too, they elevated the 20-year-old American against the most favorite player to win this year’s US Open title.

Notably, the players who have won a bagel (6-0) or a breadstick (6-1) against Djokovic in a Grand Slam are also world-class. And at the US Open 2021, Brooksby added his name to the glorious list.

The list bods Marin Safin, Fernando Verdasco, Stan Wawrinka, and Rafael Nadal. Ultimately, the question remains: Can Brooksby continue to keep up his level to cause the biggest upset at the American Grand Slam?
