In tennis, the big question is whether another strong triumvirate like Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Roger Federer will ever emerge. As younger tennis players like Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune, and Jannik Sinner gain prominence, questions have been raised about whether or not they can duplicate the fame and rivalry of the legendary “Big Three.” Recently the Italian tennis player’s coach, Darren Cahill, expressed a unique point of view about whether there should be a comparison or not.

As these rising stars continue to showcase their incredible talents and compete at the highest level, Darren Cahill thinks it won’t be a fair idea to compare them with the Big Three while only one of them(Roger Federer) is officially retired.

After winning the Miami Open title, the 22-year-old Italian tennis player along with Alcaraz and Rune, has taken the tennis world by storm. Amid all this, Cahill, in a press conference, revealed whether there is any comparison possible between both trios. He stated, “Well, I don’t think anybody should be comparing this generation yet to the generation that we have just seen with Novak, who is still playing, with Federer and Nadal, who is still playing.”

Along with that, Cahill also highlighted all the remarkable tennis records and achievements of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic and the dominance they brought onto the court.  He said, “I don’t think we will ever see that dominance again no matter what. So to be able to coach through that, to live through it, to watch it as a fan, it’s been remarkable how they have pushed their frontier of the game and made everyone more professional and made everybody play better.”

Subsequently, he also dwelled on how there is no point in making the comparison, as it would be unfair as they would require time to establish themselves rather than cope with what the previous generation left.

Not only that, he also reflects on Sinner’s dominant performance, while making a huge statement regarding how he is getting better on the court.

Further, he added, “As evolution goes along and you get a little bit older and stronger and faster and get a bit smarter, all those things are going to start to come into his game.” With a focus on Sinner’s arrival into the game with a clear mindset and developing form, the Australian coach made a menacing statement that alluded to even bigger things to come.
