It’s a clash of the titans! Jannik Sinner is battling against Carlos Alcaraz for a spot in the finals at Roland Garros. The young Italian recently made a comeback after skipping the Italian Open and therefore proved that the off time he took has restored his potential. While his partnership with current coach Darren Cahill has been quite fruitful for the young prodigy, former pro John McEnroe took a moment to regard his mentorship of him.

It has been a while since John McEnroe handed over the charge of Team World’s mentorship to Andre Agassi. Having explored the depths of both coaching and playing, the former American pro used his authority to comment on Jannik Sinner’s coach Darren Cahill’s productive partnership with his apprentice.

“Cahill is doing a fantastic job, he deserves the Hall of Fame as a coach,” McEnroe said, regarding the Australian as a star-studded mentor. While the whole tennis world came together to disregard the non-inclusion ethic of coaches in the Tennis Hall of Fame located in Newport, Rhode Island, this comment opened a new line of appreciation for the successful coach.
