In the aftermath of Jannik Sinner’s marvelous triumph at the Australian Open, all eyes turned to Maria Braccini’s celebratory remarks on her boyfriend’s victory post. As the virtual cheers made a round through social media, Maria’s comments became the talk of the town, adding a personal touch to the tennis star’s jubilant moment.

Jannik Sinner’s victory against Daniil Medvedev was significant because of the intensity. Overcoming the World No.3 in five sets is no easy feat, but Sinner stepped up to the challenge. Understandably elated, he took to social media and wrote, “Never, stop, fighting! My first Grand Slam title, lost for words, forza!!!!!!” However, it wasn’t just the shots of the champion with the trophy that stole the spotlight. Maria Braccini, the woman of the tennis sensation’s life, shared her thoughts too.

Braccini’s comment was a simple yet powerful “Thank you.” This sent ripples through Instagram because it’s not often that either Sinner or Braccini publicly show their affection for each other. However, in that brief expression of gratitude, Braccini subtly signaled that this victory held significance beyond the confines of the tennis court.

Sinner won 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3. However, it was nothing less than a miracle. He trailed by two sets in his first Grand Slam final, and things weren’t going according to his plan. He looked lost and inexperienced in front of Medvedev, who was playing his sixth Grand Slam final. But in the third set, the Italian regained his confidence and the form that brought him to the final. Sinner stayed persistent and turned it around.

“I’m extremely happy [with] how I handled things today. The situation on court was very, very tough. I think the most important part was the support I had throughout these two weeks,” he stated after the game. “I was a little bit in trouble today with two sets to love down and in a little bit over one hour. So I just tried to stay positive.”

Although Sinner had only his coaching staff at Rod Laver Arena, he assured everyone that his family was back home, watching him win his first major. Considering how he played throughout the tournament, there’s no doubt that his entire family and his girlfriend are proud of the 22-year-old. Especially after he overcame one of the biggest hurdles on the way to the final, the same hurdle he stumbled upon in 2022.

Maria Braccini’s singular tennis appearance

Jannik Sinner, having clinched his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, is now poised to bask in the glory of his historic achievement. As he’s made his journey through the ranks, there’s one thing everyone’s noticed. The youngster’s box seldom features his family members or friends. But every once in a while, alongside his coaching staff, are people close to him. And during Sinner’s semifinal against Novak Djokovic at the 2022 Wimbledon, Maria Braccini made his first (and only) tennis appearance.

Ironically, while the King of Melbourne Park won against Sinner in Wimbledon, he tasted unexpected defeat at Sinner’s hands at the Australian Open. But unlike their last Grand Slam meeting, Braccini wasn’t present. With the world focused on their professional lives, Braccini and Sinner strictly keep their personal lives away from cameras. Although they have been spotted at events like an AC Milan football match last November, the young couple keeps their relationship under wraps.
