Back in 2012, Martina Navratilova took to her Twitter account to write about an incident where a security guard threatened to put her in jail. The incident happened while she went to attend the US Open. “Threatened to put me in jail if I didn’t get back in the taxi. I said, what is ur name so I can tell somebody. He said tell everyone! Nice,” she wrote.

Replying to her tweet, Connors wrote, “@Martina M– from my experience jail ain’t so bad. Whoa did I just say that. Can’t let his attitude ruin your day.”
Connors was referring to an incident that landed him in jail. The 70-year-old was attending a basketball match between UC Santa Barbara and North Carolina. According to the police, Connors refused to comply with an order to leave an area near the entrance of the Thunderdome following a confrontation.

Jimmy Connors ruled the tennis world in the 70s and the 80s. The American had an intense and aggressive gameplay. In his illustrious career, the 70-year-old player won 109 titles and remained on the top of the ranking charts for 160 consecutive weeks.
Further, he won eight Grand Slam titles. Apart from the French Open, the former world no.1 won all the Grand Slam titles at least once.
