His Australian Open stint may have ended early last month, but World No.10 Andrey Rublev has found his form on time. He showed signs of getting onto the winning momentum at the Open 13 a few weeks ago. He made it to the SF round there, after which he extended his run to the final of the ATP Rotterdam. While he couldn’t win against Carlos Alcaraz, Rublev has now got a second chance at the Qatar Open. The third-time finalist of the event will face a formidable opponent in Britain’s Jack Draper. In his event debut, he’s made it to the championship battle. While fans will look to witness their action-packed face-off, many of them might be thinking: which ATP star is richer between the two?
Firstly talking about the Russian tennis player, he secured his spot in the final after overcoming Felix Auger-Aliassime on Friday. In the SF encounter, which lasted nearly three hours, Rublev beat him with a score line of 7-5, 6-4, 7-6(5). With that, he also maintained his lead over Aliassime in their h2h tally, at 6-1. When it comes to Rublev’s earnings, the ATP star has made a total of $27,647,309 in career prize money, according to ATP’s official website. But what about his net worth? Thanks to his endorsements with brands like Head, Nike, Bulgari, and Penhaligon, Andrey Rublev’s net worth is $7 million, as of 2024.
Speaking of his Qatar Open finalist Jack Draper, then he’s having a blast at the moment. Playing at the ATP tournament for the first time, he got his final ticket after defeating Czechia’s Jiri Lehecka. The latter conquered Alcaraz in the QF stage. Against the Brit, however, Lehecka couldn’t do much, although he tried his best. In a deciding set, Draper ousted him with a score line of 3-6, 7-6(2), 6-3. Coming to Draper’s earnings, then the World No.16 has made $5,158,824 in career prize money through participation across ATP events. Jack Draper’s net worth is said to be $3 million, as of 2024.

Andrey Rublev focuses on giving his best without prioritizing the Qatar title
For the uninitiated, Andrey Rublev has won the Qatar Open on one occasion. Back in 2018, he reached his first championship match at this event but lost against Gael Monfils. However, the World No.10 came back strongly two years later. In 2020’s edition, he went on to lift the trophy after defeating Frenchman Corentin Moutet. He outplayed him in straight sets with a score line of 6-2, 7-6.
Ahead of this season’s final, however, Rublev is thinking less about his second title at the Qatar Open. “It feels amazing [to be in a third Doha final], but at the same time what can I do?” he said as reported by ATP’s website on Friday. “If it doesn’t happen, next week I have another tournament, another opportunity. I am happy that I am back in terms of my level. I think I am playing better and better week by week, so I’m improving. I will keep the main focus, even if I don’t win this final, just to keep improving.”

And what about his opponent? Well, he appears to be focused on delivering his best on the court. “I’m looking forward to tomorrow, I’ll give it my all, and I feel good,” reported ATP’s website on Friday. After winning the Vienna Open in October 2024, Saturday’s match will be his first championship battle in a professional event.
Speaking of their rivalry then, Rublev has an edge over Draper. He’s currently leading 3-0 in the h2h tally. Surely, he looks favorite to clinch the final. But you never know!
