After winning this year’s Wimbledon Championships, Novak Djokovic has further cemented his place in the history books as one of the greatest players ever. Recently, he posted a heartfelt video on social media where he spent some lovely moments with his daughter and son on Centre Court. Many players reacted to his video, including Rafael Nadal.

Incidentally, 37-year-old John Isner also made a comment on the post, as he showed support for the Serb regarding his participation in the US Open.

John Isner showed support for Novak Djokovic

Earlier, in the comment section of Djokovic’s video, Isner posted a few heart emojis, as many fans also replied to the American. One fan wrote,tell ur president to allow unvaccinated people in ur country.

Replying to that fan, Isner wrote, I know.. it’s ridiculous.

Notably, Isner is not the only tennis player who wants to see Djokovic play at the US Open, as former American tennis great John McEnroe also criticized the US Open for not allowing Djokovic to play the Grand Slam tournament. Earlier in an interview, McEnroe said, “Let the guy come in and play in the US. I mean come on. This is ridiculous. You can agree to be tested. There’s got to be a way around this.

Djokovic is likely to play his next Grand Slam at the Australian Open in 2023

Earlier in an interview with the BBC, the Serb talked about giving up playing Grand Slam tournaments, as he did not want to take the COVID vaccine. However, he made it clear that he was not against the vaccine and wanted the pandemic to end. At the Australian Open this year, he had to face a lot of difficulties, as the Australian government deported him back to his own country after canceling his visa.

After the Australian Open, he was not getting any opportunities to play on the tour, as many countries were not allowing players without the vaccine. However, after the French and the UK government’s change in the rule, he started to play regularly during the clay-court season. As a result, he won the Wimbledon Championships this year by beating Nick Kyrgios in the final.

However, it seems like the Wimbledon Championships will be his last Grand Slam tournament this year. He will most likely play the Australian Open next year, trying to win his 22nd Grand Slam title.
