Man on a mission, Novak Djokovic put on yet another show against Tallon Griekspoor at the US Open. The World No. 1 played at his sublime best as he continued on his quest for a Calendar- Grand Slam. The Serbian, who entertained the crowd with his shot selection, cruised past his French opponent quite comfortably.

However, in a rather upsetting moment, a rude fan attempted to break the Serbian’s momentum, heckling him before every point. Novak, who maintained his composure and remain unbothered, complained to the chair umpire of the unacceptable behavior, eventually. Post the game, the ‘G.O.A.T.’ opened up about the same.

“It’s not fair”: Novak Djokovic

Undoubtedly, Novak was not happy with the treatment of the fan seated in the front row. In fact, he even had a stare-down with the rude spectator, who kept disturbing him between his forehands. However, upon complaining to the chair umpire, the rude fan corrected his behavior.

The Serbian said, “When someone from team sports watches it, they probably say “what a spoiled brat”, but it’s a different sport. I am fine with the noise, but if someone does it intentionally during the point over and over again, then it’s not fair.”

The fan’s attempts were of no good, as Novak remained focused on his end goal. Displaying sheer focus and maturity on the court, he continued his fine run of form and set himself up for an enticing round 3 clash.
